Joy in a watercolour sky

A tune softly playing on the
tiny speakers of my phone
cast minor sixths and major thirds
onto the deep blue sky of morn.

The notes painted the clouds
red, indigo, orange and violet,
and ushered in a new day with
your smile sketched across the dawn.
